Tyrone Cottages

Situated in the West of the Sperrins (a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty AONB) in County Tyrone, Ballynasollus Cottage, is a self catering cottage with majestic views across the Glenelly valley. The cottage, originally built in 1871 in local red sandstone has now been fully restored to 4 STAR standard retaining all original features yet modernised to a 21st Century standard making your stay more comfortable. The cottage accommodation 2 double bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people.

Ballynasollus cottage is set in 130 acres of privately owned moor and grassland, with its own river and woods providing accessible walks in a uniquely tranquil setting. In addition the twelve Cycling Routes in the Sperrins are within a few miles with four of them literally on the doorstep (The Gold Cycle Route, The Sawel Cycle Route, The Strule Valley Cycle Route and The White Hare Cycle Route). The cottage is CycleSafe and provides secure storage facilities for for bicycles.

The cottage is the ideal central location from which to discover and travel all of Northern Ireland. Also during your stay, you may golf at one of many local clubs, fish for a salmon/trout in the Glenelly river or simply visit an interesting local attraction such as the Ulster American Folk park. Also you may book a guide to go on several walks specialising in local Archaeology, Geology or Ecology. Alternatively you can spend a day gold prospecting with a guide.
